Food Adventure: MacKenzie Rex Restaurant
The HBG's food adventure continues and this time, at a place very near to our school! The MacKenzie REX restaurant may be small but still a restaurant that sell awesome food! This time we were all craving for some chicken rice so off we go to the place! And to all Muslim readers(if we have any), it's Halal!
When we first came in, we noticed this wall which shows a bunch of certificates and awards the restaurant have won so yup, this place is pretty legit guys, 5/5 would come again.
The menu option is similar to the likes of Mr Teh Tarik or any coffee shop out there in Singapore. They serve plain rice with a variety of dishes, individual meals if you don't like to share and many more. The only difference being that this is located in a shop house in Dhoby Ghaut, so please do beware; prices are not so cheap as those in the neighbourhood area. So for us three, we decided to order chicken for 3 people and three plates of chicken rice. Queue picture here.

It was delicious! They were very generous with their rice servings, chili sauce were self service so more for us, soup was delicious, and overall, the meal was very satisfying. The chicken and rice costs us around 17 bucks or less but since it's near town area we kinda expected it but we think it's worth the money.
And if you see the picture below, you will be able to see how much we spent. Just one word of advice, they actually charge you 30 cents for their wet tissue which all of us absolutely had no idea they placed in our table since we had our own so if you are visiting and you don't want this extra cents charged to your food, please do inform the staff that you don't need them. Other than that, absolutely love the food and we hope to try their other meals and dishes.
If you want to see the full menu of this restaurant, you can actually check it out here in their official website: http://www.macrex.com.sg/.
They are located at 66 Prinsep Street, #01-01, Singapore 188668.
Until next time,
