Food Adventure/Review: Arnold's Fried Chicken

Exams are over and the mini one week holiday came upon us. And what better way to celebrate than to stuff ourselves with our most favorite food? Arnold's fried chicken is the only choice because I mean come on, who can resist the deliciousness that is fried chicken? We've been to Arnold's before and we just needed to visit again. Luckily for us we had to coupons to get a whole chicken so yay for cheap food!

The nearest branch has got to be the famous City Plaza branch and so off we went on a Wednesday afternoon and surprisingly, there was no queue! Maybe it's because we went right after the lunch peak hour but meh we don't really care as long as there's food. Upon arriving at City Plaza we followed the smell of chicken to the second floor and really, you won't be able to miss it, it's just in front of you once you walk up the escalator. We ordered and paid at the entrance and sat patiently at our table for our food with these pager things. Oh boy let me tell you one funny thing so we were talking while waiting for the pager thing to light up right and as soon as it did, we all jumped up and started scurrying to get our food because we love chicken that much.

The pager and our receipt

Aside from the two whole chicken we bought, we also had a large serving of mashed potato and coleslaw, chicken soup and some buns.

Mmm gratuitous shots of our food, yums.

The chicken was absolutely amazing, it was soft, juicy and the skin wasn't overly floury. The mashed potato and coleslaw were delightful, the soup was great to dip the buns with and overall it was a very satisfying meal for us and is a place that we will definitely visit again and again and again.

I'd rate it a: 5 chicken wings out of 5.
Recommended dish: everything.
Price Range: Its not overly expensive but besure to have at least 15 bucks with you if you are planning on sharing.
Location wise: it's very convenient because you can take the MRT to Payar Lebar and walk just a short distance to City Plaza or you could take a bus which stops directly in front of the mall.
